A sailing holiday must be a trouble free experience, an unique and special cruising vacation. To charter in Belize without a skipper, you must fill out an application to obtain a temporary Certificate of Competency. Your application will be submitted to the Belizean Port Authorities. This Temporary Certificate of Competency & Disclosure is required for all bare boat charters in Belize. If you'll consider a sailing cruise with our crewed catamaran, you'll skip this procedure, and everything will be smooth and relaxing.
You will land at the BZE Belize City Inn. Airport. It is connected to Europe via USA, mainly with American Airlines (Delta/United) or European (KLM; Air France). Flying to Mexico or Honduras, you will then reach Belize City with Tropic Air Airlines
The Caribbean Islands offer us anything we want. Silver beaches, crystal clear water, turquoise sea, reef and spectacular flora and fauna, fishermen who sell their catch to boat, remote places that smell of salt. The choice is in your hands. I have prepared a special section with destinations for one or two weeks. However, there will be little time to see all of them - there are so many different and unique places that a summary will not be enough.
In the routes section I explain in a more detailed way the holidays destinations. According to the chosen period, and to the length of your stay, different routes have been selected to fully satisfy the experience that only Caribbean islands can provide.
Sailing is generally very easy-going and comfortable, but the sea always wants to remind us who is in charge. I will find awesome routes from island to island, taking advantage of winds and reaching fantastic destinations on fast and safe routes.
No stress. Sailing, relaxing and spectacular anchoring spots, where you will find amazing beaches and breathtaking coves. With the dinghy you will be able to explore smaller coves and remote beaches like you have never witnessed before. Sport activities above and below water..........
There are usually two alternatives: to drop the anchor in a bay and dine on board, with our Italian cook, or go ashore and look for some local 'restaurant', in case the itinerary allows it, that is in proximity to inhabited places.
No "dress code" on board: practicality comes first. I would suggest a small luggage and, of course, the onboard laundry machine is at your disposal.
The prices includes:
- All meals on board
- Diesel for the boat
- Bed sheets
- Tender 3.30m with an outboard 15Hp
- Skipper and cook/hostess/steward
The prices do not include.
- Flights to/from departure country and land transports
- Possibly custom local taxes, or travel permits
- Alcoholics on board
- Possibly marina fees, mooring balls fees or National Parks fees
- Meals outside the boat
- Personal travel insurance
How much does then a week of holidays?
- Living on board doesn't not usually increase the balance, if drink are kept under control.
- Depending on how many days are spent on an island, it is possible that a fee is asked by the locals.
- Stopping by a harbour is very rare, thus this factor is often non existent.
- If you wish to insure your travel, this is usually 0.75% of the total fee.
Moreover, I will provide you with any information you need, and will meet most of your needs while planning the cruise. The routes are decided together, I as the skipper am only the interpreter between the guests requirements and the nautical chart: it will be my task to make your needs possible with a tailored itinerary. On board there will also be an italian crew member for navigation aid but also for cooking: a real vacation with style and italian dishes, if desired!
